All classes > Acro

Acro is our newest style of dance on offer here at LDA. Acro can be characterized by combining classic dance technique with acrobatic elements such as flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering and tumbling to perform acrobatic movements. Level 1 provides students an introduction to acro, then students can progress to the subsequent level as skill develops.

We follow the Acrobatic Arts syllabus which provides a great structure and safety to our acro program. Each level has flexibility, strength, limbering, balancing and tumbling aspects and each level increases with difficulty. As a result, our acro students have the opportunity to enter annual exams which provide an occasion for students to demonstrate their work and a goal for them to strive and achieve!
